Ironiq — Privacy Policy

Ironiq ("the App") is developed and operated by an independent developer ("we", "us", "our"). This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
Data We Collect
When you use Ironiq, we collect the following information:
Account information: Email address, display name, and authentication credentials when you create an account.
Profile information: Gender, age, training goals, experience level, and body part emphasis ratings, provided during the training quiz to personalise your program.
Training data: Workout logs, exercise history, program preferences, and any additional instructions you provide. This data is used to generate and track your training programs.
Nutrition data: Meal entries (food names, quantities, macronutrient values, and timestamps), daily calorie and macronutrient targets, and food photos captured via your device's camera for AI-based nutrition estimation. This data is used to provide nutrition tracking and display your daily and historical intake.
How We Use Your Data
Your data is used solely to provide and improve the Ironiq service. Specifically, we use it to generate personalised training programs, track your workout history, provide nutrition tracking and macronutrient estimation, generate weekly training insights, power the AI coach chat, sync your data across devices, and manage your subscription. We do not sell, share, or provide your data to third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate the App:
Supabase: Authentication and cloud data storage. Your account and training data is stored securely on Supabase's infrastructure. See Supabase's privacy policy.
Anthropic: AI features. Your training preferences, experience level, body part emphasis, workout history, and coaching messages are sent to Anthropic's API to generate training programs, weekly insights, and coach chat responses. When you use the food photo scanning feature, your food photos and any accompanying text are also sent to Anthropic for nutrition estimation. Photos are not retained by Anthropic after the request is processed. No personally identifiable information (name, email) is included in any data sent to Anthropic. Anthropic acts as a data processor on our behalf and does not use your data to train its models. See Anthropic's privacy policy.
RevenueCat: Subscription management. RevenueCat processes your subscription status. Payment details are handled by Apple or Google, not by us or RevenueCat. See RevenueCat's privacy policy.
Data Storage and Security
Your training data is stored locally on your device and synced to our cloud infrastructure hosted by Supabase. Data is transmitted using TLS encryption. We do not store payment information — all payments are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
Data Retention
Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all associated data will be permanently removed from our systems within 30 days.
Your Rights
Under UK GDPR and applicable data protection laws, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Rectify inaccurate or incomplete data
- Request deletion of your data
- Request portability of your data in a machine-readable format
- Object to or restrict the processing of your data in certain circumstances
You can delete individual meal entries within the App at any time. To delete all of your data, you can delete your account through the App, or contact us at the email below. You can also request a copy of your data or exercise any of the above rights by emailing us.
Children
Ironiq is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
